I see the news stories--they pop up in my feed because my algorithm knows what buttons to push. Greencard holder detained for...whatever.
My husband is in a weird place right now. He's not a citizen of the USA, but he is here legally. It should be enough to not worry about airline travel or a routine traffic stop. But it is becoming less safe every day.
We're flying to Washington, DC in June. I'm not going to lie. I'm absolutely worried that he'll be deported. I'm so worried that I've encouraged him to stop posting on social media. He needs to watch his content and his tone.
That's heartbreaking.
