How DOES she do it?

Is anyone wondering how I manage to post to the blog so frequently when I have a newborn baby and a toddler? Well, Edie sleeps all the time! I am so not exaggerating. So this is what newborn babies are supposed to be like, huh? Its a good thing we had Dylan first, or a non-sleeping baby would be such a shock to the system.

Unfortunately, Dylan has hit the terrible twos with a vengence. He is throwing tantrums and just generally being a nuisance. Advice would be nice from parents who know how to deal with this. We are currently just ignoring his tantrums and trying to distract him when we can see one coming on. We are both wondering what happened to our cute little boy. Was he kidnapped by aliens? He has been replaced with a screaming, head banging monster!

One trick I know is to make sure Dylan gets some one-on-one personal attention time... so he knows he's still #1, even though there's also a new #1 in town. Otherwise... welcome to the terrible twos!

Oh the terrible twos, what fun! You are doing everything you should be doing. The distraction method works like a charm, but if it fails just ignore him and look bored by his behaviour, it may get you some funny looks but it does work!
As for the "normal" baby thing, that's how I felt when I had Esaias, so you can imagine what a shocker Nathan was, lol!
Thanks for the lovely card, and thanks for letting Caitlin look after Edith she was so proud! She is now praying for a baby girl!!!
Keep up the good work Jamie

hes just rebelling against edie...Thats why I told you to hold off on potty training..Try giving him little jobs like throughing a diaper away or gettting you something for the baby always try in include edie so he feels helpful and then praise him like a king they look forward to the praise. It may take him some time but hes just relizing that edie isnt leaving and things arnt going to be the same as they were before and he just has to adjust to it
