Dear mom-
I was thinking about you all day yesterday. I hope you ended up having a nice birthday, because nobody deserves it more than you do!
It's so cliche, but you really don't appreciate your parents until you become one yourself. As I take care of my own babies, I am coming to realize how much you did for us when we were growing up.
I have so much respect for the job you did--and the job that you continue to do--with 6 kids! You have sacrificed so much for all of us, and you deserve a special day every now and again.
I love you so much, and wish with all my heart that I could have been there to help you celebrate. Next year, houseing market willing, we will do it.
